As if to put my resolve to the test, 3 years back, the lady in charge of the property I lived in walked up to me with a contortion in her face and says ; ‘Steve I want you to leave this property next week don’t pay any further money to me’
I retorted; ‘why’? I don’t want you here anymore she affirmed with almost a grimace on her expression-filled face. And that was around 6pm in the evening.
Before I turned in that Night I prayed, for what was a gentle but spirit-powered prayer.
In course of the week the same lady accosted me in the stairs and this time with a soft smile and says; Steve my dear ‘you may now stay as long as you want’
I was not impressed! And am sure God wasn’t either. Before I turned in that night I prayed that she should be relieved of the management of that property. How dare I? I had to!
It was barely 2 weeks after the prayer that a man walked in and asked after me and introduced himself and says he has bought over the property and I should no longer pay rent to the other lady.
And He says again; I have brought down the rent of the house for you, given your long occupancy.
Praise God! That was the same miracle 30 years ago when one of the lecturers in one of the schools I attended demanded for money for anyone to pass his course.
I was young and very zealous-‘ I declared a fast for him’
Before the exam day, he was sent on a compulsory course and I made distinction in that course, now listed in the first 10 best of the department!
I have learnt not to bow before any man. When you bow before God situations will bow to the Almighty God who rule in the affairs of men!
