The aggregate performance of all those who have led Abia state since its creation in 1991 tells a story.
The imprints of the governance experience from 1991 to date can clearly be seen on the social and economic realities of the state.

Abia state had been hard hit with poor governance, a serial pillaging of the resources of the state by politicians who don the garb of sole-emperors, and by sheer political machinations made the state poorer whilst enriching themselves and their cronies.
One of the historical marks of poor governance in Abia state is the absence or lack of accountability. Some individuals have made Abia state a family dynasty and this has eroded the growth prospects of the state and brought sufferings to the hard working people of Abia state.
One example that will paint the picture of this sort of systemic neglect by past governments and the stifling of the potentials of our great state is the story of Aba.
Aba known as Enyimba city is emblematic of the sheer weight and stupendous energy of the elephant.
And that trasnslates into the huge numbers as it contributes more than 50% to the global GDP of the state revenue.
Ironically Aba the flagship city of Abia State has been stalled by poor roads and dilapidated city infrastructure.
A visit to Aba would stir your sense of despair,give you grief and calls to question the honesty and sense of patriotism of those who have led the state in time past. Aba is a broken city. It’s a pigsty eyesore and a shame to the entire people of Abia state and the Igbo nation.
Aba has the people’ resources that can turn the technology wheels of Africa and put Abia on the map of technology destinations in Africa.
Abia people has good spread of talents within the nation and in the diaspora, a possible growth engine for the state if properly harnessed.
But a new vista of high quality governance is now clearly possible. One that can turn our innate potentials to stupendous sovereign wealth for everyone.
One of our sons has volunteered to serve Abia state in a revolutionary capacity. In so many ways the disposition of a Leader makes a great difference. All over the world Technocrats are stepping forward to change the dynamics of leadership.
